With England’s World Cup 2014 squad having been announced by boss Roy Hodgson, online betting site Boylesports have priced up their specials on the Three Lions. The market prices on England’s World Cup campaigns includes a 40/1 shot on them to not win a single point during the group stage.

England play in Group D, dubbed the Group of Death, as they have to take on Luis Suarez’s Uruguay, European rivals Italy and Costa Rica. So there are tough games to come for the Three Lions at Brazil 2014, and England v Italy betting kicks things off on June 14th.

With Hodgson pencilling in an adventurous and youthful squad, the hopes are that they will come and play a positive game. Wayne Rooney is heading up the market to be England’s Top Goalscorer at the World Cup at a price of 9/4 with Boylesports. Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge is running at 11/4, with Rooney’s team mate Danny Welbeck out at 9/11, with captain Steven Gerrard at 11/1.

Boylesports have priced England up at 22/1 to reach the World Cup Final, with odds of 28/1 on them to go on and lift it. Punters will probably be tempted by a 4/1 shot that England will be knocked out at the quarter final stages. A run to the final eight looks as if it would be a positive return for the Three Lions, who haven’t got a lot of expectation riding on them.

Another market that Boylesports has priced up is how many points England will get in Group D. Four points currently heads the betting at 3/1 with 40/1 available on England not winning a single point in Group D.

Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylesports said “England face a tough challenge in Group D and already we have seen plenty of support at 6/5 that England will get knocked out of the World Cup in the group stages.”

He added “Our traders are expecting to see demand for Daniel Sturridge to be the Top England Goalscorer so they have kept him on their side and already we have laid some hefty bets at 11/4.”
