England v Honduras Predictions & Betting Odds 7th June 2014
England v Honduras Betting Preview
The penultimate warm up match against Ecuador was a bit of a disappointment for England. Roy Hodgson went with his fringe starting eleven (for the most part) and there were big question marks over the depth of the England squad. Still, England should be fielding a stronger starting eleven and should be able to see of Honduras.

England v Honduras Betting Tips:
This is it. One last chance to get into shape and claim a starting place on June 14th against Italy. The game plan to throw in most of the depth of the squad against Ecuador at least answered some questions for Hodgson, mostly of who should not be starting against the Italians. James Milner and Chris Smalling in particular had very poor games, which young left back Luke Shaw looks like he clearly needs more experience. The biggest thing was again England’s defence which had come under some scrutiny after posting a 3-0 win at Wembley over Peru recently. They still gave up some big chances to a lower ranked side.
Still, focusing on the positives, the attacking youth of England is looking pretty bright. How many of them will get a shot at the World Cup though? There is enough creativity and strength going forward to see off Honduras relatively easily, the question is whether or not the returning back line will be able to produce a clean sheet in the game. They really should being do so against the Central Americans. Scorers against Ecuador Wayne Rooney and Rickie Lambert are trading at Even Money and 7/4 respectively in the anytime goalscorer market against Honduras. This is going to be some good experience for when England take on Central Americans Costa Rica in their final group match at Brazil 2014.
This will be the first time that England have ever faced Honduras. England are trading as not too convincing 6/5 shots to record a clean sheet win in Miami back at the Sun Life Stadium, and the match is trading at 4/5 to go under 2.5 goals. Honduras are only ranked two spots below Ecuador in the FIFA World Rankings down at 31st in the world. Honduras will be at the World Cup in Group E against Switzerland, France and Ecuador in Group E. Their warm up for the World Cup hasn’t been going smoothly, with back to back defeats against Turkey and Israel. There really isn’t much defensive quality there either and very little punch going forward. England should have the chance to post a confidence-building victory.
England are trading as strong favourites to get the win on the board here, so much so that they are little value in the outright market. The England defence is hard to trust for a clean sheet, so avoid outcomes and plump for Wayne Rooney in the anytime goalscorer market. Hopefully he will build on his scrappy goal against Ecuador and hit some form.
