Holland v Wales Betting Preview
The Dutch don’t look to be full of fire heading to the World Cup, having posted some disappointing results. As for Wales, they’ll be looking ahead to Euro 2016 qualifying, but will have to go without Gareth Bale who pulled out again of another friendly.

Holland v Wales Betting Tips:
Louis van Gaal’s Holland haven’t been stirring up a lot of confidence ahead of Brazil 2014. Since they qualified for the World Cup, they have posted draws against Japan, Colombia and Ecuador, and suffered a heavy 2-0 defeat against France. They managed to scrape a 1-0 win over Ghana in a friendly at the of May thanks to a goal from Robin van Persie in the fifth minute of the game. They couldn’t build on that though against the World Cup-bound African nation. Surprisingly the Dutch have been struggling for goals, considering the fire power that they have available with the likes of Van Persie, Arjen Robben and Klaas Jan-Huntelaar. They don’t look as cohesive of a unit as they were four years ago when they ran to the World Cup final, and that is why they are out as 33/1 shot to win the title this time around.

Holland face up against Spain, Chile and Australia in Group B, and if the betting markets is a guide, being second favourites to qualify at 8/11 behind Spain, the Dutch would likely face Brazil in the first knockout stage. That will seriously hamper their chances, but if they aren’t at their best, then they could come under threat from Chile in the group. The Netherlands bombed in the group stage of Euro 2012 remember. Still, they carry an unbeaten 6-0 head to head record into this one against Wales. Their most recent encounter was back in 2009 in a friendly, which the Dutch won 2-0. From their six matches played, Holland have scored 19 and conceded just the three against the Welsh.

Wales will be without Gareth Bale, who has pulled out after his Champions League final heroics with Real Madrid. He has come under some fire for that, although he is said to be bothered with a leg injury. Wales took a 1-1 draw against Finland in a friendly back in November and followed that up with a 3-1 home win in Cardiff against Iceland, with Sam Vokes, Bale and James Collins getting on the scoresheet. As well as Bale, Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey is being rested. This be will Wales’ last game before their Euro 2016 qualifiers start in September against Andorra.

It should be a tough game for the Welsh all round. The Netherlands have the firepower to see them off, but they aren’t at their best at the moment. The Welsh have locked themselves up top against class opposition and in Amsterdam, the Dutch could come away with a Win To Nil.
