Our South American Betting Tips:

Bolivia V Ecuador

Ecuador at 8/5 to WIN on the road looks a ridiculous price despite them playing a Bolivia side with nothing but pride at stake. Ecuador must win this game, anything other then three points could all but scupper their chances of making South Africa. However, Bolivia looked very impressive in their most recent outing away in Paraguay, (Narrowly losing 1-0), and with this in mind, we think Ecuador could come a cropper.

Laying Ecuador at 2.9 with Betfair, (Roughly an 8/15 shot), shouldn’t steer you too far wrong. However, if you want to be more precise then backing the DRAW at best odds of 5/2 with StanJames looks a solid bet.

Uruguay V Colombia

I really like the look of a home win here, especially as Colombia have been nothing short of pathetic on their travels in qualifying, failing to win any of their seven away qualifiers. Uruguay were dealt a huge blow with defeat in Peru, losing 1-0, so they’ll be eager, no, desperate, to make amends and get their World Cup bid back on track.

Backing Uruguay to comply at home can be had at a stunning price of 4/5 with Irish firms Boylesports & totesport.

Paraguay V Argentina

This is such a tough game to call but, when you weigh up everything, a draw wouldn’t actually be a bad result for either side. Argentina would of course want all three points but even a draw would see them remain at least level on points with either Ecuador or Colombia, providing either win their respective qualifiers. A draw for Paraguay would see them hit the 28 point marker and they have far easier games to secure qualification to come.

Backing the pair to play out a DRAW could be a smart move although Paraguay have been sublime on home soil, winning six of seven home qualifiers. However, a wounded Argentina could be their match here and the DRAW looks the safest call at 9/4 with a handful of firms including; Bet365, BetFred & SkyBet.

Brazil V Chile

This is a game where research is required before placing any bets. Brazil manager, Dunga, has yet to reveal what sort of side will take to the field to face Chile. Brazil are already through and the rumours are that Dunga could be set to hand a few of the fringe players with a rare starting berth for this game with Chile.

Brazil at 4/9 aren’t much value but sticking your neck on the line and predicting that this will be a very tight encounter with few goals could be beneficial. Chile won’t travel to Brazil and open up, they will wait and try and seize on the few half-chances that will come their way. Brazil on the other hand will be in no rush either.

A small back of Under 2.5 Goals (No more than 2 goal can be scored) at odds of 11/10 with both SkyBet & StanJames looks a very good value bet considering there are so many mystery factors surrounding this fixture.

Venezuela V Peru

A game where Venezuela have to win and one where Peru really aren’t bothered if they do or don’t. However, although Venezuela are in the predicament where they have to achieve a victory, the fact that Peru have nothing at stake makes them very dangerous, indeed.

Peru have enjoyed the vast amounts of success in previous meetings and although they do lack quality, they represent a stunning value bet to crush Venezuela‘s hopes or reaching South Africa.

Peru can be had as big as 6/1 with WilliamHill, which looks a crazy price! If you want to be a little more cautious then backing Peru DrawNoBet at 4/1 with the same firm could be more your style, or, if you’re even more reserved, backing Peru on the Double Chance at 8/5, also with WilliamHill, could be right down your street, quite literally in some cases!
