Another of England’s great future stars could be Jack Grealish, and the Aston Villa midfielder could have a fantastic chance of making the World Cup 2018 squad for the Three Lions. The young Aston Villa star has been courted by both Ireland and England, but has yet to make his mind up.

His recent refusal to take a place in Ireland’s squad to face England and Scotland next month, has seen Grealish moved to 4/6 odds on to pick England.

Grealish is a fantastically composed midfielder, with hints of Gaza at his best in his play. He moves fluidly with the ball at his feet and is already massively maturely influential in games. With his decision to skip the chance to join up with Ireland to instead focus on his Aston Villa performances, online betting site Coral have made Grealish 4-6 to play for England’s senior squad and 11-10 to choose Ireland and disappointed boss Martin O’Neill said: “Jack didn’t want to make up his mind at this stage.”

It is through that Grealish won’t decide his international route until September, twelve months on from representing Ireland’s U21’s out in Germany. Grealish could have played for Ireland against England at the Aviva Stadium next month and then still switched to the Three Lions because it is just a friendly. His international future would have been settled through if he faced Scotland in Ireland’s Euro 2016 qualifier.
