1958 World Cup - Sweden
Seeler was called the "Golden Head" (as is Hungarian Kocsis) because of his brilliance in the air.  Seeler made his World Cup debut at 22, scoring one goal in the 1958 tournament.

In 1962, Seeler had already matured to become a leader.  Now a first choice striker, he gave some brilliant performances at the center-forward position, scoring 2 goals in this tournament.

1966 World Cup - England

In 1966, Seeler moved to midfield and attack from a deeper position.  His German team progressed to the Final and lost only narrowly to England by a controversial goal.

1970 World Cup - Mexico
In his fourth and final World Cup in 1970, Seeler captained the national team, leading them into the semi-finals, where they lost to Italy in one of the greatest match seen in history. His lengendary acrobatics in front of goal earned him lasting fame in world soccer.  And although other players also play in 4 World Cups, Seeler and Pele were the only players to have scored in 4 World Cup tournaments.  RECORDS
