Allianz Arena, Munich
Allianz Arena lighted for match of Bayern München. The Allianz Arena is a football stadium located in the north-Munich district of Fröttmaning. It was opened end of April 2005 and is the new home to the German football clubs TSV 1860 München and FC Bayern München. The stadium will also host the opening game of the 2006 World Cup. It will replace the Olympiastadion. The Allianz Arena has a 66,000 capacity, 3 day-care centers, fanshops and restaurants on a total area of about 6.500 m². The exterior shell is made of 2,874 0.2mm thick ETFE diamond shaped foil panels, of which each can be individually lit in different colors (red, blue or white), allowing a spectacular display of patterns. The stadium has the biggest parking garage of Europe, which has a capacity of 10,500 cars
