Online betting site Skybet are running a new World Cup 2014 betting promotion, offering their customers the chance to grab some insurance on the outright winner market.

The stars seem to be aligning for favourites Brazil as they shoot for their sixth World Cup title. Golden boy Neymar will be leading the line for them, and head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will be hoping to guide the Selecao to the biggest title in football for the second time in his career.

Brazil are going to have a massive home advantage thanks to the support following them, and they are expected to get pretty close to winning the World Cup 2014. Brazil are 3/1 favourites to lift the trophy in Rio de Janeiro on July 13th.

Place a £5 bet on the outright World Cup market at online betting site Skybet (before the tournament begins), and if Brazil lift the trophy, then your lost stake on the market will be refunded as a free bet. The free bet will come back to your account the day after the final.

The maximum refund will be £25. Full terms and conditions can be found on the Sky Bet website.

There has finally been a bit of movement behind them in the World Cup 2014 outright winner market, as South Americans Argentina have finally edged ahead of Germany with their odds being trimmed to 9/2, while Germany have held firm at 5/1. Reigning world champions Spain can be backed at 6/1, while England can be backed at 28/1.

Head of trading Paul Wiggins said: “There’s something special about the World Cup being held in Brazil for the first time in more than 40 years and we’re looking to really get punters excited about what’s going to be a great festival of football this summer.

“We’ve already got a plethora of markets available on the tournament with more to come before the big kick-off next month.”
