Despite Port Elizabeth not having a major football team, they will nevertheless be a major venue for the 2010 World Cup. The locals are very passionate about their sport and FIFA are expecting a sell out for each of the games played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

It will play it’s part by hosting some of the group games as well as a second round match, eight games in all during the course of the tournament.
